Subscription & Auto-Renewal Terms

Governs the "Subscribe & Save" box program and single-flavor subscriptions sold through native Shopify selling plans on sweetaddisons.com.

1. The short version (this is the required "clear and conspicuous" summary)

When you start a Sweet Addison's subscription:

It renews automatically. We will bake and ship a new box, and charge your saved payment method automatically, on a recurring basis until you cancel. There is no separate "renew" step and no reminder to re-order. The renewals continue for as long as you stay subscribed.
How often: every 2, 3, or 4 weeks, whichever you choose by default, or the cadence you choose at checkout.
How much: the price shown at checkout for your box, at your subscriber discount tier, plus applicable tax, charged each cycle. Your price can change only as described in Section 4, and we will always tell you first.
Free shipping on every subscription box.
Cancel anytime, in about two clicks, from your Subscriber HQ. No phone call, no chat, no retention maze. See Section 5.

By clicking "Start my box," "Subscribe," or any button that places a subscription order, you agree to these recurring charges and to these terms.

2. What you are enrolling in

Build-a-Box subscription. You choose six or more cookies in any mix. The box ships and bills on your chosen cadence. The more cookies in your box, the higher your subscriber discount tier.

Single-flavor subscription. You can also subscribe to one flavor on repeat. Same cadence and cancellation terms.

Free gift benefit. Boxes of eight or more cookies earn a free gift every third week, starting in week three (never in your first box), and continuing every third week for as long as your subscription stays active. Milestone gifts may also be included at milestones we announce in your account. The free gift and milestone gifts:

have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit,
do not extend or change your billing cadence,
may change or be substituted with a gift of comparable value based on availability, and
end when your subscription ends.

3. When and how you are billed

First charge: when you place your first subscription order.
Recurring charges: automatically on each renewal date, every 2, 3, or 4 weeks, whichever you choose, to the payment method on file, until you cancel.
Advance notice: we send a pre-billing reminder email before every renewal with a link to swap, skip, or reschedule.
Payment method: you authorize us to store your payment credentials with our processor and to charge them for each renewal. If a charge fails, we may retry and may pause the subscription until payment succeeds.
Taxes: sales tax is added where required, based on your shipping address.

4. Price changes

Your per-box price is set by the flavors and count in your box and your subscriber tier. If we change subscription pricing or your tier benefits, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect, and the new price will apply only to renewals after that notice. You can cancel before the change if you do not agree.

We do not use a "low introductory rate that silently jumps to a higher rate." If any promotional or first-box pricing is ever offered, the disclosure at checkout will state the intro price, the regular price, and when the regular price begins. [Addison to confirm no such intro-to-higher pricing is in use. If it is, extra disclosure is legally required.]

5. How to skip, pause, swap, or cancel

Everything is self-service in your Subscriber HQ:

Swap any flavor for any other flavor before your next bake date.
Skip a single delivery.
Pause for up to 3 months and resume where you left off.
Reschedule your next charge/ship date.
Cancel at any time, effective for future renewals, in about two clicks.

Cancellation stops all future charges. Cancellation is available online, without contacting us, and takes effect immediately for renewals that have not yet been billed. You may also cancel by emailing support@sweetaddisons.com and we will process it. We do not require a phone call and we do not add retention steps designed to make cancelling harder. (This mirrors the FTC "Click to Cancel" / Negative Option principle that cancellation must be at least as easy as sign-up.)

Charges already placed for a box that has entered baking or shipping are handled under our Refund & Return Policy.

6. Availability, substitutions, and ending the program

We may substitute a flavor of equal or greater value if something is temporarily out of stock, and we will aim to match your preferences. We may modify, pause, or discontinue the subscription program or the gift benefits on reasonable notice to active subscribers. If we discontinue the program, we will stop billing you and honor any box already paid for.
