Privacy Policy

Sweet Addison's ("Sweet Addison's," "we," "us") runs sweetaddisons.com on Shopify. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email support@sweetaddisons.com.

1. Information we collect

You give us:

Contact and account details: name, email, phone, shipping and billing addresses.
Order details: what you bought, your subscription and box preferences, gift recipient names and addresses you enter.
Payment information: processed by our payment providers (including Shopify Payments and Shop Pay, and wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay). We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
Wholesale and corporate inquiries: business name, legal business name, entity type, EIN, resale certificate number, phone, store website and locations, and anything you type into those forms.
Creator and affiliate applications: what you enter when you apply to our creator program. Details in "Creator and affiliate applications" just below.
Anything you send us: emails, reviews, messages, survey answers.

Collected automatically:

Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring links, and similar analytics, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Notice).

From others:

Our vendors and partners (payment, shipping, analytics, marketing, and subscription tools) may share data needed to complete your order or improve the service.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the site is intended for adults.

Creator and affiliate applications

If you apply to our creator or affiliate program (on our Affiliate or Creators pages), we collect what you enter in the application: your name, email, the platform you mainly post on and your handle there, your Instagram and TikTok handles, a rough follower count, the kind of audience you have, and anything you add in the notes box. The form also asks how you appear on camera (for example woman, man, non-binary, a couple or team, or that you do not appear). That question is optional, "Prefer not to say" is always an answer, and we use it only to match creators to the content we are casting.

Why we collect it: to review your application, contact you about it, run the program if you are approved (including issuing your discount code and affiliate link and counting the sales you refer), and keep a record of the decision.

Where it lives: your application is stored in our Shopify store on a customer record tagged as an applicant, and Shopify emails a copy to us so a person can review it. It gets there through an application service that our marketing agency, Convey Growth, runs for us on Vercel. That service passes your application into Shopify and does not keep its own separate database of applications. If you are approved, your affiliate link, discount code, and referred sales are tracked through Social Snowball, our affiliate platform.

Who sees it: Sweet Addison's and Convey Growth, which administers the program on our behalf. We do not sell it and we do not share it with other creators or brands.

How long we keep it: we keep your application on file for as long as you are part of the program, and after that, until you ask us to delete it. Email support@sweetaddisons.com any time and we will remove it, unless we need to keep something longer for tax, accounting, or legal reasons (for example commission records).

Your choices: you can withdraw your application, or ask us to correct or delete it, any time by emailing support@sweetaddisons.com. Everything in Section 6 applies to applicants too. If you are approved, the creator agreement you sign also governs how we use the content you make for us, and Section 7 explains how AI is used in editing.

2. How we use it

Bake, ship, and manage your orders and subscriptions, including recurring billing and gift shipments.
Provide your Subscriber HQ, apply subscriber pricing and gifts, and process skips, swaps, pauses, and cancellations.
Respond to support requests and process refunds or replacements.
Review creator, affiliate, and wholesale applications and run those programs, including issuing codes and links and tracking referred sales.
Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, and pre-renewal reminders).
With your consent where required, send marketing emails or texts. You can opt out anytime.
Prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and meet legal and tax obligations.
Measure and improve the site and our products.

3. How we share it

We share personal information only with:

Service providers who work on our behalf: Shopify (store + checkout), payment processors, our subscription/selling-plan tooling, shipping carriers and fulfillment, email/SMS marketing (for example Klaviyo), reviews platform (Judge.me), and analytics.
Our marketing agency: Convey Growth, which runs our creator and affiliate program, wholesale applications, and marketing on our behalf, and sees the information those programs collect.
Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel Inc., which hosts the application service (operated by Convey Growth) that powers our creator and wholesale applications and our Subscriber HQ. Information you enter in those tools is processed on Vercel's infrastructure on our behalf.
AI tool providers: see Section 7 for which tools we use and what they do and do not receive.
Professional advisors and authorities when required by law, or to protect our rights and customers.
A successor if the business is sold or reorganized.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some analytics and advertising cookies may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law; you can opt out (see Section 6 and the Cookie Notice), and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tools to run the store, remember your cart and box, and (with your consent where required) to measure and market. Manage your choices through our cookie banner or the "Your privacy choices" link in the footer. Details in the Cookie Notice.

5. Data retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as your account or subscription is active and as needed for orders, taxes, accounting, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it. We use commercially reasonable safeguards, and Shopify's PCI-compliant infrastructure handles payment data. No system is perfectly secure.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example California/CPRA, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to:

know what we collect and request a copy,
correct or delete your information,
opt out of targeted advertising and of any "sale" or "sharing,"
limit use of sensitive information,
withdraw consent, and
not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email support@sweetaddisons.com or use "Your privacy choices" in the footer. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe the law requires. You may use an authorized agent. We honor GPC signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing.

Marketing opt-out: click unsubscribe in any email, reply STOP to texts, or email us.

EU/UK visitors: our lawful bases are performance of your contract (orders/subscriptions), consent (marketing and non-essential cookies), and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, improving the store). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. How we use AI

We use AI software as an ordinary part of running a small business, and we would rather tell you plainly than have you wonder.

What AI helps with. Drafting and editing words (site copy, emails, captions, and policies like this one), and creating and editing marketing images and video. That includes editing content made by creators in our affiliate program, which we do only with their written permission under their creator agreement.

The tools we use. Claude, made by Anthropic, for drafting and editing help. Higgsfield for generating and editing images and video. And the editing software our marketing agency, Convey Growth, runs itself. If we add a tool that changes what this section says, we will update it.

A person checks the work. Anything AI helps make is reviewed by a person at Sweet Addison's or Convey Growth before it goes out.

Never for claims about our food. We do not use AI to write or decide claims about our products, ingredients, allergens, gluten-free status, or nutrition. Those come from our real product information, packaging, and specifications, and a person is responsible for them.

No fake people, no fake reviews. We do not use AI to create fake customer reviews or testimonials, to put words in a real person's mouth, or to make it look like a creator said something they did not.

Decisions about you are made by people. Whether a creator, affiliate, or wholesale application is approved, and how orders, refunds, replacements, subscriptions, and account requests are handled, is decided by a person. We do not use AI to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Your personal information and AI. Your payment details never go into AI tools; they never touch our own systems at all (see Section 1). Where an AI tool helps us answer a support email or understand how the business is doing, we limit what goes in to what the task needs. We are confirming with our AI vendors whether what we submit can be used to train their models, and will update this section when we know.

No AI chatbot. There is no AI chat assistant on this site. When you email us, a person reads it and a person answers.

Reach a human. Email support@sweetaddisons.com with "AI question" in the subject line if you want to know whether something you saw from us was AI-assisted, want content you appear in reviewed or taken down, or want to talk to a person about any of this. If you are a creator, the same address handles anything about how your content was edited.
