Addison LaBonte earned a spot on the University of Maine’s Division I soccer team as a walk-on, on her way to a career in math. At 22, while training for a marathon, she was diagnosed with compartment syndrome, and the options she was offered were surgery on both legs or giving up running. She went gluten-free and started developing her own recipes at home. Her blog, Organically Addison, grew into an audience that asked to buy her cookies before the company existed.
